Not very good. Maybe ok as an introduction to math/range based play, or the general approach an online player takes vs a live one, but I think Dynamic Full Ring poker does that, plus a whole lot more. Phone Post

Thanks for the recommendation, Andreh. I stopped playing a few years ago before Black Friday (hit brickwall in my understanding of the game, and it wasn't enjoyable anymore), and caught the "bug" again after getting invited to a casual home game (live in US, so it's gonna be harder not living near a casino). Gordon's work was the only one that helped me understand the game with concepts I could remember in the heat of the battle (Sklansky and Harrington were just too dry and complex for me to remember by reflex), but from what I understand, the game kinda passed him by when the ultra-aggressive style started dominating games.

I used to play a fairly regularly, strictly nlhe on pokerstars, 5-30 range about 7,8 years ago. Usually made money playing causually, and took down a couple of nice 5k plus winnings on MTTs. Kind of fell away from playing and have recently started again and fuck me its a different world. Im just about breaking even, playing predominantly 7 and 15 3 table sng's.

Bearing in mind my game types what books would you guys recommend?

Cheers

I don't think books can keep up with the online game at this point. I think that if you are trying to use poker (online) to make money you have to join a training site or be a regular on 2 2 for information. Books won't cut it for anything beyond the basics, IMO. Phone Post 3.0
