Anyone get anything special signed? Posters, gloves, photos. Having a few Pride/UFC veterans in the building made things interesting. I'm newer to the collecting game so I don't have a great catalogue of old stuff like some of the great collectors on here. I was able to get UFC gloves signed by Frye, Barnett, Shamrock, Overeem and Ellenberger. Anyone else?

I got Randy on a 102 (one of my favorite fights, just need big nog now) Barnett on my critical countdown 06 Melendez on SF vs Kawajiri Okami on a RIO Highlight of the weekend was partying with gustoffoson, Travis Browne, tiki and dominick Cruz at Vanity Friday night. Also met Paul Wall which was funny cause I hate his music!

Got Randy on a 39 poster, wandy on some walkout shorts, Wandy on a vale tudo poster, finally got ken shamrock, finished a promo poster I have been working on, and got a ton of other sigs. Funny thing is I rarely do posters and hated doing the 3 I did, but they look awesome. |

I picked up.... a signed event poster 25 Silva Sonnen limited edition posters a couple pairs of blue and red strikeforce gloves 3 sets of the Round 5 expo exclusive figures stuff i got signed.... UFC 3 poster signed by Ken Shamrock UFC 6 poster signed by Ken Shamrock UFC 112 poster signed by BJ Penn UFC octagon shorts signed by Arianny and Brittany 2 pairs of Wand Fight Team Century shorts signed by Wanderlei UFC on Fox 1 Dethrone shorts signed by Cain Velasquez Arianny and Brittany signed Playboy magazines expo exclusive Round 5 figure signed by Dana White a handful of signed promos and pictures and .......... 95 signed gloves I went with my wife and she doesnt collect autographs, she just likes getting her picture taken so thats how i got so much signed. Also, we were there for a week so we went to the LV fightshop signing, and the pub crawl, The BJ Penn/Korean Zombie signing, we stayed at Mandalay so we saw a bunch of fighters just walking around the casino, we went to Wanderleis gym, + we had the vip early entry expo passes. The US Olympic Basketball team was in town too and we saw Kevin Durant at the Wynn and Deron Williams at PF Changs. I also met Paul Wall, lol. .About 40 of the gloves are going into my personal collection and the rest are extras for sale or trade for gloves i dont have. I now have 188 signed gloves in my personal collection. Heres my favorite poster, now signed by Ken. He was really nice, i showed him that Royce had signed it nice and big and could he do it the same and he was happy too.

No, i dont. I ve heard horror stories though from guys who emailed him or his wife and they told them to send stuff and it was real hit or miss if they got anything back. I dont do ttm but i read the sucess / failure stories about it. |

Walked right past randleman at expo not sure if it was him lol Expo haul: Official ufc gloves: randy couture, hendo, jon jones, korean zombie Official strikeforce gloves: gil melendez, daniel cormier Gsp signed poster (wouldnt sign other shit) Got a expo program signed by anthony pettis

James I met your wife at the ug meet n greet with Dana. That's were I got bj jds chuck and wand without having to wait :) ..don't think a lot of ppl knew who randleman was cause there was no one around when I met him. It was at the ryu Booth. |

She loves dana white and i've met him several times now so i gave matt her name to get into that meet and greet. She called me from back there and told me who was there and talked to Danas assitant who said i could go back there but i was waiting to meet Shamrock and he was my biggest want so i turned it down. My wife got JDS, Dana, Pyle, Carwin back there for me though :) |

You left with a carload of stuff james!! 95 signed gloves!?!?! how many did you lug around with you per day? I never liked taking a shitload of posters bc I didnt want to carry it all.. I usually just take a backpack and smalls.

I take a rolling carryon bag with like thirty gloves in it at a time and i stayed at mandalay so in the middle of each day i went up to the room and dropped the signed gloves off and picked up unsigned ones. The trick is to bring your wife so you can get an extra signed since she has no care for autographs but she loves the sport and getting her pic taken with fighters. I also refuse to be in a line thats gonna be over an hour. I didnt go in any ufc line the whole time. |

Speaking of UFC lines, I planned on avoiding them as well but then 2 minutes to ten they kicked us out of the overeem line saying we couldn't wait there because he didnt' sign until 11. So with 2 minutes left before the masses were let in, I hightailed it to Rashad's line because I needed him for a project piece. Was pleasantly surprised that they were signing anything not just the promos that I heard they did at other expos. |

haha... so true about UFC sponsored auto lines.... When we went to Houston, the line was already cut off for A.Silva even before the expo opened due to all the VIP ticket guys. and there was already a huge line outside the Muscle Pharm booth for A. Silva when expo opened.. keep in mind, silva wasnt scheduled to be signing at this booth until 2pm iirc.. INSANE!!

Its usually the UFC boys/girls that are there for fighter's protection? I guess who say that they will only sign the promos.. Then I get my personal stuff signed from fighter anyways and the UFC guy/girl gives me a snooty look.. lol

I avoided all the Ufc lines as well. That's where the masses of newer fans go first. Plus some of the fighters were signing Ufc promo cards at thier sponsored booths like Carwin. I collect the Ufc promo cards and I went to BJ Penn's line at noon waiting for his 2pm session and the line was already cut off lol. You have to do what Jamesrudy did, to really get all the signatures. I got Shamrock, Overeem, Rousey, Korean Zombie to sign promos for me, BJ was my only miss. If anybody has an extra BJ Penn promo or Dan Henderson hit me up for trades. |
