Yeah. I think some people have seen girls with pointy elbows before this thread and their blood has left their brains or something.

OK I love elbow strikes myself. But on the ground, they allow for very close range striking from the top position, which leads to smothering action, with very few space between the fighters and thus a lot less action and sub attempts. I'd still keep them, but in a way banning them on the ground would open up things.

Oh, and bring back knees to the head of a downed fighter! And kicks to the head between TWO downed fighters as well while you're at it.

Haulport - As a follow up to my other thread, and since all elbows do is cause cut stoppages and I and everyone other red blooded, TRUE mma fan wants to see them banned, I figured a thread filled with all the examples of what a barbaric, unskilled maneuver it is (sorry to steal your words Dr. Johnnie) will help GET THEM BANNED FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
