This may have been mentioned by someone before, but if you have netflix or you can find it online, there is a good documentary out there called Born and Bred which is about the Hispanic boxing scene in Southern California. The documentary seems pretty well put together and focuses primarily on twin brothers Javier & Oscar Molina and their quest to make the US Olympic team(Javier was a 2008 U.S. Olympian and Oscar is competing for the 2012 Mexican Olympic boxing team). |

Great documentary, it's nice how.they showed all the sacrifices amateur coaches make, what they don't show is how these coaches get dumped for "name" trainers and rarely get taken care of or get the credit they deserve

Thank you, good recommendation. I started watching it, and I'll fix it if any of the links are off, I'm not too sure about pt 15, it looks like a trailer to the movie, I'll be sure to correct it if there are any errors. |
