Here we have it. Our official King of Pullups thread. I will keep the rules and the current king updated here on the first post. The S&C Pull Up King: Leigh Remedios is the current king with 11 pullups with 50 lbs added (vid on page 3). Rules: 1. The "king" is the forum member who has the highest count of pullups performed with 50 lbs. of weight added to his bodyweight. 2. The pullups must be full range of motion. At the bottom the arms should be straight, and at the top the jaw line should be even with first knuckle of the fist or higher. 3. Any grip is ok: pull up, chin up, or neutral grip. 4. Any setup to add weight is ok, but your regular clothes aren't counted. Weight can be hanged with a belt, can be in a backpack, a vest, or some combination of those. You don't need to weigh the items on video for your entry but we reserve the right to call bullshit and have a weighed vid if it looks sketchy. 5. The set is done if you or your added weight touches anything but the bar with your hands. You can hang in the bottom position to "rest" but you can't touch the ground or anything else while doing this. You can also change grips mid-set, but again, you have to do so without touching anything but the bar. |

FYI for anyone looking for a simple way to do weighted chins- It's easy to pinch a dumbell positioned vertically between your feet. |

I've bashed my shoulder tonight and not Chi Ned apart from the vid for a few weeks but will have a go when my shoulder is better, probably next week.

IN, 50lbs is a lot though. That should make it more challenging for sure. |

I just did two reps with a 24kg KB, and my first (and only) royal decree is to restyle the title Champion of Pullups. |

Get a vid 419 and you'll be the new king :) And "king of pull ups" comes from the old "king of the mountain/hill/raft/guard.etc" |

419 - I just did two reps with a 24kg KB, and my first (and only) royal decree is to restyle the title Champion of Pullups. I posted a vid a while back of me repping with 28kg, when that other guy was spamming the forum with his vids. I did more than 2. So the title stays ;) |

I know I can smash 5 reps. I can do 5 reps with 90lbs without training. I'll do it in a couple of weeks when my shoulder is better |

How come you used a belt and not the bar to do your chin ups with Leigh? |

Andy the man - How come you used a belt and not the bar to do your chin ups with Leigh? Check out the thread. The OP posted about some guy doing a bunch of half reps with a gi, so Leigh did it with a belt. A belt, if it isn't obvious, is much harder than a gi, but the dude tried to argue that leigh was cheating hahahahaha. |

LOL, it was not a struggle. Are you trying to troll me? If so, We'll have a wager if you want - I'll double that 5 reps to 10 in 3 weeks if I'm only using 23kg ;) |

My bad. They're pulls, not chins. Just read the thread title. |

You were there... just saying it looked like the 5th one was a little difficult. And go for 10. I have no doubt you can do it, but let's see it! |

I did one set of 8, and then another 3 sets of 5 today with my Valeo 20lb vest on after my 7 mile run. Working up to 50 lbs! I'll get video. I thought the extra 20 would do me in but i was suprised. |
