Purple Gi 2009
Brown/Black Nogi 2009
Brown/Black Nogi Absolute 2009
Brown/Black Gi 2010

But really, only the last one counts. Nogi worlds aren't nearly as hard as gi worlds, especially the year I won it (it was on its third year, only 800-900 people).

I could be a resume builder and throw in weight/absolute at Worlds CBJJE 2009, but I'm not Barzeelyun. Although for my particular division, it was really the same difficulty (more competitors) as IBJJF Worlds minus Bia Mesquita. A 12-year (total training) purple belt was hard to deal with. :P

Gi - Carol de Lazzer who was my final match at brown/black. She had won worlds at black belt the first year I attended as a blue (2007). I had never had a single match go to refs decision, it was the first, it was an incredibly boring match because she was so absurdly strong.

My favorite match at brown black was getting my shit handed to me by my idol. Third match wearing a black belt and Hannette Staack (8x BB World Champ at my weight), she has the exact pressure game I love and beat me 19-0 and tapped me in the final 20 seconds. It was straight up technique mastery.

Nogi my ADCC run was my favorite in the sport. I went into the Megumi Fujii match going, "Well, she's the favorite, she's gonna beat me...but damnit she's gonna work for it!" and somehow managed to get the choke. I still can't remember like half the match it was so surreal. Phone Post
