Bispingoed by UGCTT_Benwahwah -funkjoker - Remember last month when three Germans fought and won at European MMA in Denmark? Well, today the Germans went only 1-2 at that event. 19-year-old Arthur Grass (2-1) won his fight against Danish prospect Cazim Halimi with a beautiful head kick, Christian Eckerlin (7-3) lost by TKO against Danish veteran David Rosmon and Alexander Heinrich (4-5) got decisioned by tough Danish wrestler Ayub Tashkilot. Always commuting between Nuremberg and Munich. |

Not from Germany, but from a German-speaking country - Austria - Nandor "The Hun" Guelmino is going to fight for the World Freefight Challenge heavyweight title in Slovenia on Sunday. Guelmino and his close friend and training partner Gerald Turek are considered the two best heavyweights in Austria. In Emil Zahariev from Bulgaria Guelmino has a very strong opponent. Could be a barn burner. |

BJJ purple belt Alexander Neufang (3-0), Germany's no. 3 light heavyweight, is going to enter a four men, one night tournament tomorrow night. It's going to take place at Belgium Beatdown III in Brussels. Compared to him, Neufang's opponents are very inexpierenced, so we're expecting him to bring the title to Germany. This matchmaking is somehow strange. In Germany, the promoters try to match the fights so that the German guy is going to win the tournament if everything happens "according to plan". The two Belgian guys have to face strong opponents in the semi-finals, so there's definitely going to be a non-Belgian finale. Maybe there aren't any good Belgian light heavyweights, I only know the Team Shaolin fighters and their best light heavyweight is 1-1. |

Disregard my previous post, Belgian cruiserweight Steven Cnudde just won the four men tournament at Belgium Beatdown III in Brussels. He beat Alexander Neufang by TKO in the first round after some heavy shots and then did the exact same with his opponent in the finale. |

Belgium Beatdown was organized by Shooto Belgium and Shooto still doesn't use the weight classes that the Unified Rules of MMA use. Their cruiserweight is 91 kg which is roughly 200 lbs. |

Not even the promoters had Steven Cnudde on their list but he performed fantastic, Judo background and powerful Ground and Pound. Neufang had him in an Inverted Triangle Choke but Cnudde just stood up and shook him off, very impressed by his performances in the tournament. |

World Freefight Challenge 17 just ended in Slovenia. Nandor Guelmino, Austria's no. 1 or no. 2 heavyweight (depends on who you ask) won the vacant heavyweight title by decisioning Bulgaria's Emil Zahariev.
Polish phenom Piotr Hallmann won the vacant lightweight title against Montenegro's Vaso Bakocevic in one of Europe's best fights of the year. A video can be found here: http://t.co/V4ey0OET
Croatian beast Ivica Truscek and Bulgarian Svetlozar Savov defended their welterweight/middleweight titles against unbeaten Ukrainian Sergei Churilov/Serbian Bojan Velickovic.
Four title fights at one event by Central Europe's greatest MMA promotion! WFC should be named alongside such top European promotions as Cage Warriors, KSW and Superior Challenge.

funkjoker - That Hallman vs Vaso fight was insane! Great to still see guys trying to finish fights non-stop rather than trying to win decisions! |

Piotr Hallmann is going to fight in the UFC in 2013, for sure. One of the best lightweight prospects in Europe, this dude is out to demolish you every time he steps into the ring. |

Tom Lawlor -One gym you should keep an eye on is MMA SPIRIT in Frankfurt. Most of the famous guys are training there. Daniel Weichel, Christian Eckerlin, Max Coga and Austrian Marbek Taisumov. Other German guys you should know: The Buschkamp twins Nico Penzer Jonas Billstein of course.

...who (minus Jonas) are all being sponsored (including the Spirit gym) by your online shop employer. Interesting... ;) Little late to the party, but Sheila Gaff, Germany's best female fighter, had to cancel her fight against Rosi Sexton because of an illness. Caused quite some trouble in the UK scene. Fans of Women's MMA were really looking forward to this fight. Maybe some other time though. |

But that's not the reason I named them. :) honestly. Boxhaus is trying to sponsor talented guys. And they're all pretty good. Shouldn't be some kind of ad for Boxhaus.

Yesterday there were two smaller events in South and West Germany, but only one fight was worth of note: a battle between the no. 5 and the no. 6 of Germany's light heavyweight rankings. Stephan Puetz, who's fighting out of Munich, improved his record to 4-0 by submitting Gelsenkirchen's Danny Stritzke with an armlock. October was lame, but November is going to be awesome with interesting events on each weekend. Stay tuned! |

Tomorrow there's going to be the debut of Abu Dhabi Warriors, a new MMA organization located in the UAE. Unbeaten German middleweight Benjamin Brinsa (11-0), ranked no. 10 in Germany, is going to face fellow unbeaten Italian Simone Tessari (7-0). There's some controversy surrounding Brinsa, because he is a former soccer hooligan and some say that he has connections to the right-wing extremist scene in East Germany - which is VERY frowned upon in our country nowadays, I think most of you know our history. Even though the accusations are not true, or at least not evidenced, Germany's biggest promoter banned Brinsa from fighting in their event because of outside pressure. Now it seems that Brinsa is going to fight outside Germany so that the critics leave him alone. At least that's my interpretation, I don't have all the facts. I DO know though that he's a very talented fighter with UFC potential. |

Brinsa and Tessari both have faced very favorable competition. Even the winner of this fight is still untested imo. |
