After moving through a huge number of titles on the Marvel app over the last 12 months, it has really stunned me how critical great art or a certain style can enhance or detract from a storyline.

I am not familiar yet with enough artists work to be able to spot them at will but would love to hear gg thoughts on best and worst modern artists, or even those with v recognisable style. in addition, if theres thoughts how that may relate to the titles ive been focusing on namely all the Avengers titles to date since Disassembled..invincible iron man...all athe ultimate titles. many thx. still learning... I don't know if these artists are still working for Marvel or not. At one time in their career, they have.

Hard to narrow it down to just one most fave for me.

Billy Tan is up there for me as most fave Marvel artist. His Warpath and X-23 are awesome!

John Cassaday is great too. Love his Emma and Wolverine.

If oldschool artists are included, George Perez, Jim Lee, and Marc Silvestri.

Hercules Rockerfeller just reminded me... i don't know if Dillon is the worst in my book, but he's down there at the bottom... something about his art, his faces or something... seems lifeless... too square or something... don't know how to express it properly of what i feel when i see his art. Every single superhero Ross paints looks like Josh Barnett in his mid-40s. In that group shot up there all the guys have the same face except the ones with the giant chin prostheses and Jack White in the back there. He seems to think men don't have lips.

Anytime I can tell a panel is based directly on a photo and could almost be (or is) traced, I hate the artist -- that's my personal rule.
