D'antoni was a Horry hipcheck from going to the Finals and smoking Mike Brown's Cavs. On that team he had Nash and Amare. He then went to a team with no PG capable of running his offense.

Now he is back with Nash and has Howard who is even better suited for the offense than Amare was.

We can all agree that Nash, Pau, and Howard are all tailor made for the offense.

The question is Kobe, right? Well, one of Kobe's favorite players growing up was Mike. He has three favorite coaches: Phil, Mike K, and D'Antoni. He LOVES D'Antoni. They have been friends for a while and Kobe has looked up to him since he was a kid. And his mentor Phil had great respect for those Suns teams.

There were 3 coaches that would come in and immediately have the respect and attention of everyone in the locker room and D'Antoni is one of them.

I think it works out well and instead of installing his system he opts to let them just play a free fast paced game and implementing certain ideas and sets along the way. Phone Post

initially chose #8 because of D'Antoni.

would be cool if he switched back tonight.

defense is still a question mark but I'm VERY excited to see a run & gun laker team once again. we'll see how it goes.

Ah, then yeah I heard he'd be the coach starting on Friday but I'm not sure if he'll actually be at the game because of rehabbing the knee. They'll just implement his offense on Friday for sure.

I think one of the major concerns for getting Dantoni is Pau adjusting to his system. Not sure what goes on there.
