I was going to post this as a response to tommys thread, but fuck it, at worst I have cursed a team I hate,and I cant be reverse cursed because...well just look at the suns right now what else can you do to me?

As a fellow member of the dantoni shipwreck crew (albeit he was MUCH more successful here than he ever was in ny) I would normally be inclined to agree with the sentiment that this move would be a lateral one and the Lakers would have a great reg season and early playoff exit.

HOWEVER Howard is the key here as much as Nash is, but we already know Nash will be successful in this system. DAntoni has never had a center like hwoard, he has had almost ten years of trying to force amare into that role. His system DEPENDS on a defensive anchor/break starter/inside force like howard as much as it does on having a PG with true court vision like Nash. In both PHX and NY, the system was missing a component. PHX never got a true five (an insanely past his prime shaq dont count) and NY got Chandler but never got a pass first precision pg (overhyped linsanity dont count).

Lakers will win, and I want this TTTed in June of next year because there have been alot of doubters. I have a dispassionate view but I see alot of naysayers around here and other places.

I think you are about to see a train get ran on the league.

Dwight will need to run the floor a lot better than he is used to. And he will need to learn how to stay out of foul trouble since uptempo will mean more possessions. And he will need to learn how to shoot free throws.

Say what you want about Amare, but he runs the floor very well, is a natural scorer while Howard is not, and shoots 75 to 80% at the ft line.

I am more intrigued with Pau in this offensive system than Dwight. Dwight will help tons on defense if he can stay away from fouls.

I like the idea of out possessing the other team, just need to make sure you do enough on defense to maintain the leads. Looking forward to seeing how this all plays out. I feel like everythings been on this holding pattern since Mike Brown got axed. Wins or losses don't seem to "mean" much until everyone gets healthy and up to speed, which I know isn't true but just the vibe I get from the team.

I know it was against Pheonix but it was the way they ran, passed, played D and flowed that was great to see. i'm not co-signing the Showtime 2.0 moniker yet, but I really liked how the offense AND defense looked last night. Yet we still gave your "vaunted" team a run for three and a half quarters with the mess our team is.

Even without nash bryant and howard shoudlve been enough to beat my no superstar having suns by 40.

If you win a title it will be because of Suns ideology and personnel. We have infiltrated you.
