hiring _antoni as coach over Phil, what a dumb fucking move. This franchise looks to be going backwards with their decisions lately. He may win games in the regular season but you aren't going to win in the playoffs or a championship with this piece of shit coach who literally does not give 2 fucks about defense. I couldn't wait to see him leave the Knicks, now with Woodson the Knicks actually play defense and are playing great. He's your problem now fellas |

I think Steve Nash was the deciding factor. Jackson would have wanted some control over basketball operations. Jackson would have gotten rid of Nash, or would have pushed to get rid of him. Nash is not his style of PG. The Lakers don't want to think they made a mistake picking up Nash, they want him to be a part, and a big part, of this team. Jackson and Nash just would not work. Kupchak and the Buss's want showtime back. They think Dwight will be enough defense to override Dantoni. They are wrong. Personally, Jackson wouldn't have helped much either. Unless he moved some guys around, especially Nash. The roster as it is simply doesn't have the backcourt defense needed to protect Dwight and Pau from foul trouble. With the Lakers roster as it is, their best chance for winning is simply outscoring their opponents. That's not what Jackson does, that's what Dantoni does. I think it has a shot of getting them to the finals, but they aint beating the Heat. |

The triangle was a much better fit for this roster than D'antoni's offense. They don't have the speed or the shooters to run that Suns- offense. Bad move. I think they'll win games. They have entirely too much talent not to. But that being said, taking D'antoni over Phil was completely nonsensical. |

Do you think Nash fits into the triangle in any way outside of spot up shooting? Do you think Nash fits with Phil's defensive scheme at all? It really came down to Steve Nash. The front office wants Nash to be a major part of the team. With Jackson as coach, and part GM, there's no way that was gonna happen. It's an ego thing. Kupchak and Buss think they can make this roster work as a run and gun, "showtime" style team. That's what they want. That's not Jackson's game. |

The triangle would have stifled Steve Nash, it's true. He wouldn't be a good fit with Phil Jackson. |

as per Mitch Kupchack. "I asked Phil point blank what he had in store for Nash. Needless to say i didn't like his answer."

I like Nash but I don't think he can be a factor in winning a title anymore.

It's disappointing to hear that Phil wouldn't even entertain the idea of using Nash. LA choice makes a lot more sense in light of that. |

Getting rid of Mike Brown's system was addition by subtraction. |

They look good now. I wonder how they will look in the playoffs. Kobe looks like he is rejuvenated. |

The Knicks aren't going to blow that 3-0 lead, are they? |
