TEAM CARWIN'S BRISTOL MARUNDE (12-7) VS. TEAM CARWIN'S NEIL MAGNY (7-1) Round 1 - Referee Josh Rosenthal in the cage. The pair engages immediately and trade punches in the pocket. Bristol misses with a few haymakers as Neil manages the distance well and stays out of range. Bristol moves in on a takedown and works immediately to top position, but Neil calmly turns to his knees and breaks away on the feet. Bristol adds in a few low kicks, but Neil remains elusive, even when he slips briefly to the floor. Bristol remains the aggressor in the late going. Neil does a good job of avoiding any real damage, but Roy Nelson is screaming for him to do a better job of countering when he does avoid Bristol's attacks. The round ends with Bristol tripping Neil to the floor on a missed kick. Round 2 - Both fighters pick up the pace to open and fire off punches and kicks in close range. They settle shortly after, and Bristol again is the one moving forward. However, Neil does a fantastic job of countering and appears to stun his opponent with punches from distance. Shortly after, Bristol recovers and is able to again trip Neil to the floor, where he sets up in top position. Bristol stands, and Neil's corner screams for him to stand, which he does shortly after. Neil then reverses the position with his own takedown but is forced to defend a kimura attempt underneath. He eventually breaks the lock and settles on top in the final minute. He looks to score with punches before Bristol ultimately scrambles up. Neil works to the back on the close. He's done enough to take round two, so it's all going to come down to the first. At the close, the decision is in, and he's done enough. Neli Magny def. Bristol Marunde via unanimous decision (20-18, 20-18, 20-18) TEAM CARWIN'S IGOR ARAUJO (22-6) vs. TEAM NELSON'S COLTON SMITH (3-1) Round 1 - Steve Mazzagatti oversees this fight. Igor rushes forward to open and moves into a clinch. Colton circles off the cage and scores his own takedown. Colton looks to establish position on the floor, and after looking briefly for a choke, he drops several elbows to his opponent's head. Igor settling on to his back, and his team calls for him to pick up the pace. As he scrambles, he exposes his back, and Colton takes the position. However, Igor moves well to avoid any potential chokes and simply turns and rolls as he looks for opportunities. Still, it's Colton who controls the action until the bell and easily claims the round. Despite the animosity, Colton helps Igor up at the close of the round. Round 2 - Igor looks energized to open and ready to strike, but Colton quickly closes the distance and brings the fight to the floor. Igor's corner yells for him to attack from his back, and he does look for a few potential submissions. Colton slips out of each attempt and again settles on top. Colton lands a few short elbows from the top, but more importantly, he controls the positioning and refuses to allow Igor an opportunity to reverse the momentum. Igor's corner begs for him to do something, but time is ticking away, and Colton is in total control. He finishes the round on top, and there is little doubt who the winner will be. Colton Smith def. Igor Araujo via unanimous decision (20-18, 20-18, 20-18) |

There are A LOT of questions that are going to be answered tonight! Will they bang, bro? Will a bro be stopped from banging, despite pleading for the ability to bang? Will there be too much banging for a bro? |
