I, and many others, often make fun of Goldie for his mic work. So, I think it is necessary to start a thread and say that I thought he did one of his best jobs ever. Rogan had quite a few bloopers in the earlier bouts, but the Goldie Rogan duo was really good during gsp/condit |

When that guy came out with the crazy kick in the beginning of the round and he yelled 'OH MY GOODNESS' I laughed my ass off. |

I only heard a single "slip and rip"! He's getting better. I fucking hate that stupid fucking phrase.

Goldberg always does a great job. The criticism he gets is very undeserved. He's been commentating since UFC Japan 1 in 1997 and lives and breathes the sport. He's watched more MMA than 99.9% of this forum. The idea that he doesn't know what he's watching is so wrong.

He didn't call anyone classy tonight. I appreciated that. |

agree strongly. goldie's game was super tight tonight; robust, full and thoroughly on point. |

Goldberg seems like a great guy, never do you see him say anything bad about someone. |

I think that he is great at his job and the dynamic between the two is very good. I honestly think that I like Bellator's duo better, but it's really close. The only problem I have with Goldy is that he's been around so long and still doesn't understand jiu jitsu positioning and strategy. It's kind of nit-picky because Joe obviously takes over with the color commentary when they go to the ground, but Goldy makes a lot of uninformed comments when they are on the ground. You'd think that he would at least try to train in it for the sake of bettering himself in his chosen profession. I'm no wizard (only been doing BJJ for a year) but some of the stuff he says is cringe worthy. I definitely think that he is underrated though, and underserving of the amount of hate he gets. |
