EXACTLY.... Fans have changed... Fans are more about numbers now, rather than the fight that THEY want to see. . everything has to be so politically correct. . . "nick needs to beat a top 5, to DESERVE gsp" is what i'm hearing. . . Nick Diaz has been wanting to fight/calling out GSP for 3 years, and for fucks sake, GSP CLAIMED.. he wanted Nick to win..(which he DID) now after a dominating performance, WHY WOULDNT GSP WANT THE DIAZ FIGHT?! Anyone that's a fan of MMA, and matchups, and that watched the Diaz / Condit fight, should be chomping at the bit to see what Nick Diaz would do to GSP. . .

MMA Fans are just lame , narrow minded, internet dorks, that crunch sherdog numbers and stats, and make their "dream"/ super fight demands on what the UFC will make as far as $$$$$$$, and not looking at the amount of entertainment THEY are actually getting in these shitty fights. . .

Anderson Silva fights GSP in a "Super-Fight" Anderson TKO's GSP in no LESS than 2 rounds. . . If bigger Chael Sonnen,(2nd fight) can't dominate Silva, (even the first couldn't finish him)how the EFF is smaller GSP going to?? idiots. . .

Nick Diaz is the ONLY FIGHT that GSP needs to try and go for. . .

a nick vs gsp makes way more sense in the spring than a hendricks vs gsp. the ppv would probably be worth more with diaz than hendricks right now. where if they had hendricks vs diaz and diaz lost the ufc loses alot of interest in a diaz vs gsp fight down the road.

You honestly believe the casuals would be more inclined to buy a PPV with GSP vs. a guy they barely know, who they remember in a boring LOSING battle but haven't seen in over a year, over a guy they just saw in two DEVASTATING knock outs and on a 5 fight winning streak?

it could be gsp vs an aardvark. the casuals will see the letters gsp and they will more than likely be buying the ppv.

Nick Diaz vs GSP would be ahuge money fight based on all the hype surrounding it, the Countdown show would probably be the most watched ever, and its the most entertaining fight that comes to mind, even more so than Anderson vs GSP. Just do it. You throw stephan bonnar in with anderson and claim its a fun fight and who doesnt like a fun fight. This fight is not only 'fun' but Diaz is the real #2 ranked welterweight. not Hendricks for barely getting by koscheck and blasting kampmann

you answered your own question. gsp sells and he is the ufc gravy train, which they want to ride as long as possible. say gsp loses the belt the next fight and do you think the casual fan would watch hendricks vs whoever.

if diaz fights it mostly regarded as a gimme fight for gsp where the casual fan would not understand this. then go to a hendricks afterwards. that way the ufc gets at least 2 more ppv's from gsp.

Diaz is not a big draw at all to the casual fan. Those same fans just saw Hendricks KTFO out of Kampmann and Fitch all while Diaz was "retired". It is absurd to think that Diaz would draw more PPV buys.

Your right, but...

GSP is the biggest PPV draw in MMA according to Dana. And the back story is there between Diaz and GSP is there. I just think both will break records for the WW division.
