why u guys part ways? and what happen to "the cartel"?

Yes we are no longer doing business together. We just had different business methods/ideas. Building a gym in Thailand has been a passion of mine for a long time and I have worked long and hard on this project. I am still pushing forward and hopefully will be able to make more progress soon. My new project is not Cartel. New venture completely.

Little secret about that fight I never told anyone... I actually tasted his blood in my mouth the last round. And as sick as this sounds, in the heat of battle, I liked it. I am pretty savage minded during a fight. Made me think about evolution of man and how deep in our DNA we are some warlock gladiators. Or maybe I am just a little psycho.

Another weird blood fact about that fight is that I framed those shorts and gave them to my Mom. They are still up on her wall and they are covered in his blood. Every time I visit and see them, I ask myself if that was an appropriate gift for a Mom.

He cut my chin in about 4 spots as well. So from looking at this gif, I am assuming he had some of my DNA on his shorts too.

And as usual, to throw everyone off my true and dark identity, I close with a ;)

Were you nervous about the rnc or is Fitch just impossible to tap and you knew he'd be fine lol? I just now remembered you were supposed to fight Silva last year.

I am always nervous when a buddy is in a submission but Fitch is probably the hardest guy to choke I ever trained with.

He traveled down to Paraguay on a Monday in the month of July on an even year to have a local specialist surgically move his carotid arteries to the inside of his neck to prevent passing out.

That last part has not been verified and might of been a dream I had on a Tuesday night in the month of June in 2007. ;)

whoa thats an awesome story, thanks for sharing man! I think thats a pretty neat gift and cool that your mom appreciates them (they are still on that wall). as for the taste of blood I dont really mind my own but I cant imagine being covered in someone elses as well lol. nice to see you back on here mike and stay handsome!

I think I always need to work on everything. Its weird, you would think after 25 years of training in Martial Arts, that I would be an "expert". I feel very far from that. Weird how that works. The sport is ever so evolving that I learn new stuff constantly. For this fight I really put the most significant emphasis on my conditioning. Lots of rolling too. My knee and elbow are healed now so I can do a lot more on the ground for this one.
