Gameplay is extremely repetitive and the characters/story are unimaginative.

I got it in hopes of it being similar to New Vegas, in that you have a vast open world and meet lots of crazy people, but I found the story to be dark, the game play repetitive, the gun system clunky, and overall sorta bland.

Maybe I need to try it again,

It's much more like GTA than any fallout game. If you don't like GTA games you won't like RDR Phone Post

You need to be a fan of westerns to enjoy it I think. I think the characters were awesome, but there were a lot of references to old westerns so maybe that's why I enjoyed them.

I tried to replay it and quit pretty early in, but my first play through was one of my top 3 gaming experiences I think.

I thought the gun system was one of the best in gaming. The dead eye system was pure awesome to me. Phone Post
