Given the prevalence of advertising on this forum I thought I'd share an article for fellow consumers to better inform themselves. For those that use these methods, I invite you not to post on this thread. "Pricing, R&D, innovation and hiring to accommodate demand would become instant casualties, and the marketplace would be dominated by interchangeable wolves who put up a “Sold Out” sign after artificially constraining the supply not only of their products and services, but also the products and services of their strategic partners." "The Syndicate method is an Internet Marketing abomination advanced by a collection of fools who’ve reimagined themselves as coaches, leaders, trainers and deep thinkers. This asinine business approach is utterly ruinous. The stain it leaves behind is indelible, the stench permanent." |

Jason you have been voted up and I appreciate this yet understand the hate it may cause but just as our training in bjj and in life in general, we must always seek knowledge and a way to better ourselves on all levels. Even the level of being a better consumer, spender, sucker, whatever. all of the money and research that has went into creating marketing formulas and strategies to allow us to part with our currency more frequently and easily we should be allowed to make an informed decision based on honesty but never mind what i say right now as im a few bourban spiked acai shakes past midnight right now amen goodnite yall |

Wow, I really enjoyed reading the article as well. I really didnt mind when an individual or company was promoting their product. What really annoyed me when I was getting multiple emails from other companies promoting the same product. It just seemed so disingenuous to me, and made me think less of any of their future posts or emails. After reading this article, I better understand what was going on. |

Good article but he doesn't explain why it must/will fail properly. I'm not talking about ethics here, just finance. Why would this Syndicate model fail? |

This is genuinely interesting as I love to understand how things work but here's a thought... If you don't like someone's marketing methods, there's a simple answer – don't buy their shit. • Someone has a horrible website that asks for your email every few seconds? Don't buy their shit. • Someone puts 1 DVDs worth of content onto 6 DVDs? Don't buy their shit. • Don't like a guy's moustache? Don't buy their shit. I personally HATE QVC and shopping channels on TV. They make me cringe, from the bullshit products to the fake presenters to the annoying countdown to the fake callers to the annoying music... hate it. So I don't buy their shit. Vote with your dollars, use time on the internet to watch MGA or porn. Don't waste your time talking about other people's marketing methods. Because you're only drawing more attention to them. |
