The data on height and reach comes from multiple sources, all of which list the same thing. Yes, YEARS ago the UFC had shitty stats. They have since started measuring the fighters themselves instead of just taking what they are told.

The weight in the cage are from the fighters directly, or their nutritionists.

I am using my eyes and brain. Clearly you are not.

you'd think GSP nuthuggers would have more faith in their guy...  It seems they have already given up and conceded the fight and now have to resort to whining about it not being fair.

would you rather GSP lose to some guy at 170 or the greatest mma fighter ever? GSP has nothing to lose in this... Anderson has way more to lose.

^^^^ He honestly does not look much more muscular than he was there. I would think the 177.5 catchweight would be easy for him. 170 might be too tough given age.

Where Jones could NEVER meet Anderson half way. That alone speaks to who "cuts" more and who regains more come fight night.

fair chance that at that time he was not rehydrating all that much and was actually close to 167. With professional nutritionists and weight cutting experience,now, if he fought at 167 weight class he would probably be significantly bigger than that . 

not saying thats the truth and nothing but the truth, but I think its likely the case

edit: this is purely speculation. I wonder how much he did or did not cut during this time period...I do not have any information that should make me say this likely or not likely

Anderson weighed 175 for the ROTR tournament, were people at the time complaining about the size advantage he had over Trigg, Shields, Condit, etc? His proposed catchweight for the GSP fight is only 2.5lb heavier than that.

And as I said on another thread, the Forrest pic cracks me up for a very simple reason. The logic goes that he doesn't look dramatically smaller than Forrest, who is a huge LHW, so he must be 10x GSP's size, who is  an average welter (supposedly; although we don't actually know of any ring weights for welters that are heavier than GSP's for the Kos/Shields fights).

Well, that's Anderson at 205; Anderson at 185 looks about the same size as Demia Maia, who was considered a small middleweight and is now an average welterweight. 

Then drop another 7.5lb....

ummm.soares said before the bonnar fight that anderson was cutting weight...he also previously said gsp would be crazy to fight anderson since anderson weights 230

You really believe Anderson cut an extra 3lb to 202 again Bonnar because he enjoys cutting weight?

You really believe this is what someone cutting significant amount of water weight looks like at weighin?

Why is everyone so deadset on insisting that EVERYONE in Anderson's camp is lying about his weight, over and over again for years on end, when the weights we KNOW -- 202 on the scale against Bonnar, 182 on the scale against Leites, 191 on Wednesday before Okami fight, 175 for fights at age 30 -- back them up?
