My question is for combat veterans, police officers, security quards, etc. What is your reply when someone asks you, :what's it like to kill a person"? Please back up your experience Mine: USMC Afghanistan 01-02 Mazaar-i-sharrif, Kabul, Bagram, Kandhar

I tell people that I'll have an answer when you join the infantry and become a person that can understand the answer.

Canadian army Afghanistan 2006-2007 2008. OP Medusa. That's a tough question. I tell them that what I did there is for me and the man whose life I took. I do tell them that I wish it was none. It was many and not a day goes by where I don't think of every engagement. It's a thing only soldiers can understand. Where I work now, a now friend was in a diff unit for the same fight (tour) and we never talk about or brag about how many we killed. We always talk about our bros who died. That's how I deal with it. My wife may have a totally different view tho. I'd be lying if I said that question didn't bother me. I get very quiet and dismissive when someone Ashe me about it. They could never understand.

Doesn't bother me at all. Sometimes I talk about it. Sometimes I don't. Depends on the person that ask. Overrated IMO Rather not say. 2001 Afghanistan 2002.
