What do you guys think of the last couple vids? Do you train from a relaxed state? Also train from a Fence/prepared stance? Practice Instinctive reactions? Or only train your martial arts from an Engaged Fighting Stance, or grappling only from your knees? |

Yes Wu, In Reality I would be booking it to the outside, lots of movement, getting away etc. but limited to our little space....which, can very well happen...it's not always going to be in a wide open parking lot. Some of what I do is playing sometimes with movement. Different days I am different ways depending on mood, emotion, energy level etc. I am now challenging myself to be able to deal with things with much less movement holding myself as the center, dropping someone fast etc as you see in my latest vids. This is the higher level when you can deal with 1,2,3 etc this way you are good. Most will do better with movement, hit and run, zoning/basketball or whatever. I've defended in a Real 2 on 1 stick attack and approximately 10 on 1 attack |

thanks guys..... One would think a Total Martial Arts System would have you doing role playing and intuitive reactions like I was as part of their tests to see what techniques flow etc.... As well as Kickboxing sparring, MMA Sparring, Grappling etc. for rank tests etc. I feel a lot of say modern sport BJJ guys BB might say kill me in Gi comp etc, but the self-defense ways been lost a bit in a lot of places. Saulo R. focused on SD at least once a week. Rener etc seem to be carrying that part of GJJ on. Of course same can be said everywhere.....at MT or KARATE only training from a fighting stance. Good fighters get sucker punched or egg on the conflict by stancing up. Judo just excepting reaching for grips. BJJ starting on the knees. Should train from Relaxed, Fence, Both lead fighting stances, and then also various positions of course too....cage wrstling, back against Wall, mounted etc. |

After Kickboxing class decided to do kind of a mix between MMA and Street Sparring, sparring Vladimir the first time, and first time wearing this helmet for me. |

2nd Round fast and Chaotic like a street fight, I did even get tagged a couple times and gave up my back a bit and had to recover. Maybe future add in more headbutts and light groin strikes? |
