TRT's ok with a prescription but weed isn't, why?

Listen, im all for legalizing weed but come on now. Have some fucking sense people. Even if legal it doesnt mean you can smoke up 5 minutes before your job.

Low test levels can lead to a whole shit load of medical problems. Problems that can drastically decrease your QoL. TRT does nothing but replace the test that you are not producing anymore. To put your test levels back in a normal HEALTHY range.

Weed has been shown to HELP with some diseases. Thats it, help. If you had one of those diseases then more then likely you wouldn't be fighting actively in MMA ( glaucoma,cancer, aids, alzheimers ). Its more of a "coping" drug then anything.

Sadly some of the more common reasons are "depression" & "anxiety" which can faked entirely too easy just to obtain "the card".

Maldini2706 - Both are used to treat legitimate medical conditions so how come taking steroids which are 100% PEDs is allowed with a script but weed (whose PED status there is much debate about) is not allowed. Seems like a pretty warped system.

Test isn't a banned substance, pot is.

Test levels have to be within a normal range, even with TRT

Pot is completely banned

Regardless if you have a subscription for weed or if it is or is not legal. The fact remains that it is on a banned substance list by the various athletic commissions. As is synthetic testosterone.

Fighters that want to use TRT have to apply for an exemption. I would think it reasonable to assume that if you have sufficient reason to use weed, applying for an exemption before a fight may allow you to test positive for this. Phone Post
