More fights on fight cards, with less events per year. I loved the time when we could see fights with the names such as

Liddell, Jardine, Machida, Fitch, Griffin, Rua, Anthony Johnson, Clementi, Jeremy Stephens. We see big ass stacked cards back then, I think we need to do this again.

add 4-6 more fights per year, and take off 1 event every 2 or 3 months.

This would only be 1-2 hours longer event card giving the fans more bang for their buck.

So if you are a fight fan you to would sign this, and Dana if you care for your fans then please read the signatures.

More fights per card, less cards per year! This will stop the over pollution of fights in my opinion.

Maybe we can get cards with bigger names throughout the card instead of paying 54.99 for GSP's fight with 1 more good fight.

Thanks for reading UG

the absolute last thing in the world the UFC needs to do is add more fights to a card.

If you are a fan from start to finish, you are already spending 6 hours at the arena for some shows.

Way to fucking long.

I've been to four UFC's and sat from start to finish at each one, and not once did I say, "man, these fights, the beer, all the gorgeous ladies in attendance.......it's getting old. Is it over soon?"

If injuries weren't such a problem a lot of cards would be much better.

I think it's fine how it is, also if they only have a few big events it will be harder to develop newer talent when it's the same big names on the cards. They have solid exposure with the current way they are doing it.

So many people say "ohh the casual fan wouldn't want to see blah blah blah" but the fact is that the UFC pays people to do research on what the "casual fan" will respond best to, then they implement it.

Also if you watch Facebook fights thru the pay per view it's plenty long, and a lot of the times the undercard fights are wayyy more entertaining then the headliners. The more exposure they get on cable the more the "casual fan" will recognize fighters they saw battle on FX when they are on pay per view cards and would be willing to buy it because they will perceive quality better. # of cards is just fine.  Have one every single week.  More fights is better than less fights.

The issue as I see it is that the product that's for sale rarely is priced appropriately.

$55 for a pay per view and MANY times the quality of the event is lower then what you get on free TV.  That's not right.  As a consumer I will only buy the shows that are must see.  I've bought 1 card in the last year and I used to buy every single 1.  It was the all heavy weight fight card.  If there's enough interest in 1 or 2 fights, I go to the bar and watch there with friends.  And if it's a card shoved down our throats with 1 fight and a bunch of fluff, (TUF alumns) I don't bother.  I just read about it the next day.

The free cards I generally watch if I'm not doing something else or at least DVR for later viewing.

TUF?  I haven't watched that garbage for several seasons now and i have no plans on doing so.

If you're going to charge $55 to watch the card, give me 5 top fights, hell give me 6 if time permits.  I don't want to see up and comers, midgets, women, or TUF alumns.  Put all of that on the prelims and let everyone watch them for free.  You do that and I'll get back to ordering PPVs and having friends over, in the process growing interest in the sport.

I love it when the UFC is on all the time, I buy the pay per views, all of them I just dont like it when we have wasted weeks of fights for example,

UFC on FX 6: Sotiropoulos vs. Pearson

  • Ross Pearson vs. George Sotiropoulos
  • Hector Lombard vs. Rousimar Palhares
  • "The Ultimate Fighter: Australia vs. UK" welterweight final
  • "The Ultimate Fighter: Australia vs. UK" lightweight final
  • Seth Baczynski vs. Mike Pierce
  • Hacran Dias vs. Chad Mendes
  • Joey Beltran vs. Igor Pokrajac
  • Eddie Mendez vs. Nick Penner
The very next day
  • Roy Nelson vs. Matt Mitrione
  • "TUF 16" tournament final
  • James Head vs. Mike Pyle
  • Tim Elliott vs. Jared Papazian
  • Pat Barry vs. Shane Del Rosario
  • Melvin Guillard vs. Jamie Varner
  • Jonathan Brookins vs. Dustin Poirier
  • Johnny Bedford vs. Marcos Vinicius
  • Rustam Khabilov vs. Vinc Pichel
  • Nick Catone vs. T.J. Waldburger
  • Reuben Duran vs. Hugo Viana
  • John Cofer vs. Mike Rio
You can easily take out some of these fights and create a single card instead we waste 2 days on this which most wont be able to watch.

hell there is one event a week before these 2 also. Dana could have easily made these into 1 event and it would be much more viewed then one on a Friday which most wont be able to watch due to work.

Exactly, the time goes by so fast you don't notice and would not notice another 4 fights added.

If that 2nd card is not a PPV, these 2 cards are perfect.  Soem good names on there, some competitive fights, and lots of edposure for guys not on the top tier yet.  This is perfect provided you don't have to pay for it.
