Boxing >> Amateur boxing on hold?

 USA Boxing has just been handed a three-month suspension for statements by one of its board members, Hal Adonis, to the effect that boxers are better off if they were abused as children and that half of women boxers are lesbian. As usual, it's the kids who suffer.
Aren't all the national sport governing boards chartered by the US Congress? Can't Congress revoke its charter and award it to a new board? In the meantime, let the young men and women box unofficially like they've been doing since we came down from the trees, without permission from the adults that failed them so miserably. And let some of the more powerful teenage boxers show Mr. Adonis what they think of him.
