Thanks, DA! Okay issue. Is it just me, or did the art take a turn for the worse in this one? |

The writing is absolutely brilliant. I think the simpler art style suits it, too. It's clear, direct, and un-fantastical. |

Apparently Aja and Pulido are rotating on the story arcs. Pulido will do #5 while Aja will be doing at least #6 and #7 (look for Aja's cover for #7, badass). |

So who was it that groped up Barton? Madame Masque or his underage assistant? |

Alger Hiss - So who was it that groped up Barton? Madame Masque or his underage assistant? Good question! ----------- Thx DA, caught up with this series last night Prefer David Aja's art over Pulido's, however, Pulido's is close enough to Aja's to not distract me. Matt Fraction is a great writer on this series so far. If anyone who hasn't checked out Immortal Iron First yet, same team of Fraction/Aja on it. |

i'm not as prolific reader as the rest of the GG, but a series i read in the past that i'm reminded of...surprisingly Batgirl. similar art, and similar "voice" somewhat forgot the creators and year, but it was 9 issues. think it launched the regular series. |

Stickgrappler - i'm not as prolific reader as the rest of the GG, but a series i read in the past that i'm reminded of...surprisingly Batgirl. similar art, and similar "voice" somewhat Batgirl: Year One didn't launch anything. Cassandra Cain was the first Batgirl with a solo title - and it ran for over 70 issues until editorial killed it just because (probably because they are mysogenistic, racist clowns....) *spits venom*

Wait. Nick Fury is black in this? Is this Ultimate Hawkeye, or an alternate universe? I thought this was 616 Hawkeye. |

^ Post Fear Itself. Shattered Heroes storyline. Young, black special forces dude is suddenly being chased by every baddie on the planet. Nick Fury shows up and reveals that he is secretly dude's father. Mom was a badass spy back the day. Dude was born with natural Infinity formula in his blood. Baddies want this formula factory. Some baddies catch Nick and Son. Nick is drained of Infinity Formula. Son is poked in eye. At the end, Nick kinda of slinks off into the shadows. Son is promoted to director. And then reveal son is actually named Nicholas. And BAM before anyone had any idea what the fuck was going on, the 616 had a black Nick Fury. It was so fast, no one had any time to hate it. |
