What an amazing game, just had to stop myself after 6 hours of just having fun and doing random stuff. Didn't get bored once and I've barely even touched the story missions. Best game I've played all year easily

Flexo - Never played a farcry but definitly picking this up. Any co-op or multiplayer?Has 2 person couch coop, 4 player online coop, and competitive online multiplayer. Can't wait to play tomorrow

Playing on pc with pretty much everything maxed out, absolutely gorgeous game. Playing with the silenced pistol, silenced sniper rifle, silenced assault rifle and bow is freaking badass, dudes don't even know what hit em. Burning patches of super dense forest to ashes with a Molotov cocktail is amazing. fucking 10/10 for sure. |

It really is an amazing game. I'm quite a bit into the story now but I've put a lot of hours into it just going hunting and taking out outposts in stealth mode. For me it's the best game of the year, purely because other big titles have been a bit of a let down. Still have to pick up Halo and Hitman though but I don't think they'll beat this

I have several that I need to get through myself including Hitman Absolution. With that being said, I'm still gonna rent this one from Gamefly and give it a shot this week. I wish I had more time to play all of these games. |

After very positive initial impression, I'm not as high on it as I was. Having to grind all this crap just so you can carry more than one weapon or more than 10 arrows for your bow sucks. Having every single collectible, "secret", and enemy marked on your radar and all the other hand-holding just grates on me no end. |

orcus -I don't get what you mean. The enemies only come up on the radar when you tag them with the camera. I like that it does that. I know what you mean with hunting for the different stuff to upgrade the gear but I kinda like it as it gives me more to do. Just my opinion

My problem is games like this and Borderlands add this artificial "progression" simply by TAKING AWAY the actual fun things at the beginning of the game and making you grind for them. Remember when shooters actually let you carry multiple guns from the start? Or gave you guns that were actually effective at the beginning of the game? Now it's like, let's make it so you can only carry one gun and one clip of ammo, or let's just give the player a peashooter that isn't fun to shoot things with IN OUR SHOOTER, and make them plod along for 5 hours before they can actually have fun shooting things rather than doing chores. This is modern game design; when it's not holding your hand and telling you exactly where to go and exactly what button to push at all times, it's making you do WORK to get to the part where you actually have fun (if you ever do). So, so terrible and depressing. End rant. |
