Its the money fight, we see that with GSP/Diaz announcement. Another guy might be more deserving but this is the money fight for them, frankly I dont think Canelo/Trout would do well as a PPV and they are clearly moving to make Canelo a PPV draw.

Canelo/Cotto however is a PPV level fight and a big money fight even though Cotto lost.

I dont think fans of both sports realize this enough, sure its not always fair but in the fight game its about selling tickets, PPV buys and ratings, if fights do those things that keeps the sport healthy.
