I said that Marquez "seems too smart for that," but then I realized the man drinks his own piss. So there goes that theory. And at the age of 39 and fighting his greatest rival one final time, you'd have to think that he's doing EVERYTHING possible to win this fight and establish his legacy.

It's funny, when this fight was announced, I really had no interest. But in the last day or so, I'm all of a sudden pretty excited about it. Still probably won't order it, but that's only cuz I ordered the GSP just a couple weeks ago. I wish I hadn't.

Today's fight is a lose-lose situation for both Pacquiao and JMM.

If Marquez wins;
Pacquiao will look really bad.
1) for not being able to convincingly beat someone who a lot of people feel won 2 of their 3 fights,
2) for not being able to convincingly beat someone who Mayweather embarrassed.

If Pac wins;
JMM will look worse because;
1) People will say he complained too much to get the rematch and still failed.
2) The history books will show 3 L's for JMM and 3 W's for Pac. Phone Post

If Marquez loses it'll be far worse. His legacy honestly depends on this fight. PAC can bounce back if it he doesn't get knocked out or embarrassed honestly. Marquez can't and the people around here see that.

Tonight you'll see what I mean, the Marquez fans here CLEARLY AND DEFINITIVELY outnumber the Pacquiao fans by a very large margin and the fans are diverse too, not just Mexicans. They want justice, they feel Marquez has been wronged.
