How can we honestly evaluate Rory based on tonight's fight? BJ gassed as usual, even earlier than normal. At one point he was so lifeless, Joe called him a punching bag. Lets act like real fans of the sport and put things into perspective. |

Orcus Knows MMA Better Than Goku - bigger, longer, faster...just as technical standing up, more power... good wrestling... There is not one single aspect of MMA at which Rory is better than GSP. Not at takedowns, not at TDD, not at speed, not at accuracy, not at boxing, not at kicks, not at cardio, not at BJJ. He's taller and has a similar reach. That's it. Entreri - Bear in mind that he trains with GSP at Tristar, and GSP stated that Rory is BETTER than him at that age. GSP was still pretty new to fighting at Rory's age and only fought professionally for a couple years. Rory's been fighting professionally since 16. In no possible way can I see Rory following GSP's learning curve. Don't think Rory ever gets as good as GSP is. Of course, that said, "not ever becoming as good as GSP" is hardly the worst insult you can throw at a fellow...Rory is good, damn good, and will be a contender for years. But for all this talk about Rory improving you hear, I don't think he's going to improved all *that* much from where he is right now. I think Rory will peak in 2-3 years, and will be better than he is now, but not by some huge amount. |

Orcus Knows MMA Better Than Goku -Interesting theory, it does make you think why he's so cocky. But he's also young, when you're that age (23), most fighters have a little cockiness in them.
