Yes I it would be absolutly stupid and ridicilous, but does anyone think if the AC really wanted to they could just change the bout to a no contest or actually a dq over the 2012 toothpick consipiracy? Ben Henderson won that fight and was very impressive and dominant and we all know he won fair and square. My question really is could we see an athletic commission try and be a stickler for the rules? Will anything come of this toothpick thing? |

id like to see them reprimand him verbally and make it clear that it cant happen again but to change the outcome of the fight is a little too far. its kinda a silly situation imo. |

He better be careful who he has that thing in his mouth against though. If he's in there with a power striker he could end up with that thing lodged in his throat. |

is there a specific rule against it? it doesn't seem that him nor many officials with the ufc know for sure if it's legal or not (only that it's not a great idea for his own safety). lol at people claiming it could be used as a weapon, or was soaked in ped: that's silliness. |

Pretty sure as with boxing there is a "no foriegn object" rule. So basically anything that isn't Gloves, shorts, cup, and things like knee braces. |

while the idea of any thing being taken away that he has accomplished so far because of a toothpick is silly, he absolutely should be talked to about this by the UFC and subsequent athletic commissions he fights under, its a horrible liability for everyone involved in the sport for him to habitually have a foreign wooden object in his mouth every time he fights, from a safety standpoint. |

The AC has no proof he had it in his mouth while fighting. The ringside ref might check his mouthpiece for it pre fight next time. |

Depends on what type of wood the toothpick was made from. are we talking conifers or angiosperms? Some conifers from brazil are known to have physical benefits.
