Hathaway would rack up wins because once upon a time he was a giant amongst midgets at 170. Now the 170 lb class is full of giants that are more skilled than Hathaway. Forget about him being champion.

Or he is predicting the future of a talented young fighter.

Hathaway has wins over Rick Story (the guy who has beat Ellenberger, Hendricks, Alves) and Diego Sanchez.

I fully expect John to be a top 5 fighter by the time he is 30 as he's only 24, it's not hard to believe that he COULD one day be champ.

When has Rory ever try to come off as "humble"?

Why does it even matter? People base their "favorites" on the goofiest shit. Who cares whether you think he is humble or not, does it really matter? I like to watch exciting fighters, could care less about their personalities.

He's quite small for 170. I'm not super high on Hendricks, but when you beat the guys who are arguably #3 and #4 in the division by KO, it's too late for you to be "just hype". pretty clear Uncle Fester wants Hory to be the future at 170

beats Che Mills, Pyle and Penn = GOAT!

Beating BJ was pretty impressive, Fitch couldnt beat BJ like that and he is a top 5 WW.

I'd say thats why he is getting hype because he is already top 10 and has all the tools to be champ one day.
