Jockey Member Since: 1/1/01 Posts: 12663	I played Dota 2 for a while and enjoyed it, but I recently got into Guardians of Middle Earth for the 360 and I'm liking it a lot more, anyone with a ps3/360 should check it out there's a free trial. Surprisingly fun MOBA and I like the control scheme even better than keyboard/mouse. You have ignored this user.

I play but only the odd weekend, as my DSL won't let me play online. Have to go to a friend's.

If you play LoL, DotA2 is a big adjustment. There are recommended items for your champ, so you can start there.

The biggest difference is denying. You can last-hit your own creeps, denying the enemy gold and some of the xp. This makes it much more challenging in lane, as a more skilled player can shut down a nub easily; I think this is where alot of players get discouraged. Once you get the hang of it, though, it's a far better game overall, IMO. Far more possibilities, LoL is comparatively basic and straight forward. More playable when inebriated.

I enjoy both, but have switched to DotA2 entirely.

I started playing the original DOTA almost 10 years ago, moved to HoN in 2009 and just switched to LoL two months ago. Have to say I like LoL a lot. There's a lot of annoying things about the original game that they removed to make it a smoother experience and allows you to concentrate on the things that should matter. There seems to also be a lot less raging in the game too since there's less accountability (they intentionally make it that way), definitely makes the game much more enjoyable when you're not spending most of it arguing with some dude

I have DOTA 2 but haven't tried it yet.
