I as well have many yrs of complete Topps from this era. I have no idea where they are in my house. My prize card is a Nolan Ryan rookie my favorite player of all time. It might not be worth what it once was but it's worth something to me. |

I've got Topps Mattingly, Bonds, Bo Jackson, McGwire... rookies. Don't think they're worth much at all. |

Cards that were worth like 50 bucks back in the early 90's are worth like 2 dollars today.

Keep the rookies and dump everything else. Check ebay for accurate ideas of their true value.

If you have the space keep them. Then throw them in boxes and try to sell them for whatever you can get. I still have tons of cards, most of mine are mid to late 80's and early 90's. My wife wants me to toss them, but they're sitting in the basement and bothering no one so I'm keeping them for the time being. One day in the distant future (hopefully) I'll sell them for whatever they're worth. I have to have at least a few $50+ cards in there. |

Doubtful you have a $50 card in there. The 92 bowman set might be the best in that time frame, worth about 75-100. Upper deck had a sp set in 93, if you have a jeter from there or one of the variations you have a nice card. Those 89 donruss griffey jrs are about a buck.

Problem with that time frame in cards is they were mass produced so they aren't worth much. Yes Beckett is still around I get the football card magazine as it gives me something to base my cards off of when I do online trading. It's crazy how much newer cards cost... Seen some Cam's go for thousands of dollars... Although those usually come out of $500 boxes lol

I had at my peak 3.2 million cards, now down to prob 40k. With few, very few exceptions, anything after 85 is worthless. I was at a sports card and memorabilia auction a few months ago. They had factory sealed sets of 1988 Topps that didn't even get a $1.00 bid, for an entire set! Same with late 80 and early 90s Score, Donruss and Fleer. Mass production was part of the problem. Another huge problem was companies intentionally making error cards to make their cards more desireable. And then, the insert cards made the "set" cards even less valuable. Even rookie cards are worth pennies. |

Everything is cyclical. I think they will be worth money again some day.

Not a chance ^^^ they were overproduced in mass so unless the USA is hit with a great flood they will continue to be worthless unless you mean that someday to be 50-60 years from now

I hope so. Even my "good cards" are worth 20% of what they were worth in 1990 when I had 3 stores. |

joesonshuevos -Do you still have a store? I will occasionally see a card shop and wonder how they stay in business. They were all over the place when I was a kid.
