All we do is bitch about our government. Could a regular guy or girl even win a seat in Congress anymore? If a regular person can win without aligning with either major party, I'm down to run. I'm a regular guy. I live in South Florida. My government here sucks.

Who has any experience with this? I'm totally serious. I am ready to run for a seat in congress if someone knows how to run a campaign. Anyone want in?

Poleeko -Maybe I can help. If I cannot help, maybe I can at least give people an honest to goodness regular American to vote for. Someone who shares their struggles an concerns.... Who has legitimately felt their pain.mendelson -You're too smart for Congress.beastrosoup - What is your current occupation and education levelI am a teacher for HS as well as teaching Doctoral courses. At the moment it would be extremely tough because you need a ton of financial backing for advertising. As more and more voters grow up with social media however, it might become more possible in the future when a majority of the voting public will be plugged into social media. |

^shit, truck just means you can fit more dead hookers in the back. tarp over 'em and roll around like a boss making campaign speeches about cleaning up the streets and family values. it's a lock. |

I have a decade worth of students who are extremely active on Facebook and Twitter. The majority of them are of legal age to vote. Perhaps I could do it.

mendelson -banco - Are there any independents in the House? The guy from Vermont. I forget his name, but he is a badass. He's in the senate but he sat as an independent in the house before he was in the senate. Him getting in to he senate was a bit of a fluke as the democrats gave whole hearted support to him and didn't run anyone against him. Obama even campaigned for him (before he was president). |

Doubtful. The American public is great at bitching and moaning about politicians, but when it comes election time they just keep on sending the same types back into office. |

Lets talk issues. What major issues do you look at viewpoints for before you decide who to vote for?
