I bought the stream to me app and set up set up the server so I can just watch movies off my comp on my tv via AirPlay on the Apple TV. Pretty awesome and has totally taken over my ps3 now that cinevia has ruined it's movie player. Nothing special, but a nice combo.0

If you have a Mac you can run XBMC or Plesk and stream to the ATV. You don't need to have it jail broken and running on the ATV itself. You also don't need XBMC running on the iPad. The ATV can mirror or extend your desktop. You can also just use Air Video to stream any movie to your iPhone/iPad and then use AirPlay to re-stream to the AppleTV

You need your device on iOS 5.1.1 to Jailbreak.

For iPad Jailbreak Install add ons thru cydia like: vlc media player(plays all video formats Itransmission Ilostfinder (snaps pic of anyone who enters the wrong passcode, emails pic 2 u) Free apps (for testing before buying)

That app is killer. Stream whatever I want from my computer to my appletv, seriously sick. The pic quality is good. Voted Up when I get to my computer.
