Morning after meds are available over the counter which is why this is such bullshit in the first place. Morning after is no different than Rogaine for men. You don't need a fucking prescription for it. It's bullshit for the government to require insurance to pay for shit that is already over the counter. So stupid. |

my insurance covered ace bandages, pain meds, fever reducers, allergy meds, antacids, etc. why would otc status make a difference? |

Peeixes - Because the morning after pill has nothing to do with health at all. It's a luxury item and should be paid for out of pocket. |

that's a value judgement, which is fine, but it's not what you said. |

I wonder if a business owned by a scientologist and they chose to pay the fine being that they do not allow the use of many medication, would there be an uproar of outpouring support for sticking to their beliefs?

In a free society the government has no place nor power to place such requirements and mandates on a Private business. Hobby Lobby shouldn't be forced to offer anything it doesn't want to. Free people can decide to work their or not.

But it's not a free society. Never has been and never will be. Free Society is an oxymoron. Why not outrage over blood transfusions? Why should businesses be forced to provide insurance that pays for them?

THis is why Christianity is the enemy. They are willing to STICK WITH THEIR GUNS. this is a violation of religious belief. They cannot FUND or Pay for stuff they don't believe in. Obama is a sad sad joke. |

RoyalRailer - In a free society the government has no place nor power to place such requirements and mandates on a Private business. What's the unemployment rate right now? How much of a decision is it when it becomes one of whether or not you have a job at all? |

Bunch of dumb cunts in my opinion. "turn the other cheek" "Give to ceasar what is ceasar's" Go on with your tiny life and let the sinners do as they will. Here's a tiny bit of truth from my life: My mother in law stays with us after the birth of our first baby. she's a super christian. just before leaving town for a trip back home to Tulsa, she starts crying about how we need to dip our baby in some water in front of a priest or else our baby will go to hell when she dies. She starts quoting some other ridiculous stuff from the bible too. At the end of it, i say, "if you really believed that and all the other bullshit, wouldn't you be spending your life kidnapping babies and dipping them in water? I mean, if your life really means nothing here, cuz you got this great set up at death in heaven, aren't you being selfish by deciding not to kidnap babies to save them from an eternity in hell?" She stopped crying, packed her shit and left for the airport via a cab. Back to the main shit posted by OP: there are tons of things that Hobby Lobby sells, that if used correctly, will end up terminating a pregnancy. The fact that they're up in arms due to something "against their religion" in a religion that has a tennent specifically stating that they should fucking live their lives and let other folks live theirs, strikes me as an armload of bullshit, within reach of a very hungry man. They'll likely pay the penalty for a few months and then quietly "give up", moving on to greener pastures (and when they do, it's the OP's responsibility to spread the continuing story). |

my favorite thing about hobby lobby is that it's the most preposterous intersection of demographics. trying-too-hard hipster wannabe art fags, actual fags, soccer moms, nerdy girls into beads and shit, utter trash shopping for home decor, uber-christains just dying to shop at an uber-christian chain (they're always next to books-a-million, conveniently!), weird scrapbook ladies, and the occasional dude looking to get a big piece of glass or plexi cut for cheap -- all on top of the unfortunate kids who work there for next to nothing. it really is a stew of hilarity. |

"It's worth noting that the morning-after pill does not induce abortions." The purpose of the morning after pill is to prevent ovulation, however it also may prevent a fertilized egg from implanting in the uterine wall. |
