After boozing at least twice a week for 15 years I have decided to give the liver a break and see what a sober month feels like. If a positive experience then planning on pushing for two months. If no major benefits then I will be back on the lash 1st Feb. Anyone care to join in?

In 3 years I might have missed 2 weeks of not drinking. My dad passed last September and I am done making excuses. Time to grab my balls and do what is best for me and the family. Im in, I have had a very unhealthy relationship with alcohol for the last several years. There are things I want to accomplish and alcohol is just a huge hindrance for me. Im feeling pretty good so far, yet at the same time there is part of me that already is tempted to head to the liquor store. Im off work until the 8th, so if I can make it through that many days off without drinking that would be a pretty big first step. You have ignored this user.
