No reason not to bring in Barnett unless his demands are out of line. He is a finisher, he talks a good game, he's smart and personable, and he's an excellent fighter. |

The loss to Cormier was a setback definitely, but I truly hope Barnett gets his chance. Barnett is still big, strong and plenty mean. Personal animosity should not matter in getting another quality well known heavyweight, with a strong MMA following in the mix. I say if Tito can be forgiven, anyone can return. |

His history with dfw and failed tests is a HUGE concern.

GSP24 - His history with dfw and failed tests is a HUGE concern. This, folks. Has nothing to do with his ability to sell a fight or his talent. What if he fails a pre-fight drug test before a title fight, for example? Either way, I 'd like to see him in the UFC as a fan. |

The only thing to be taken from this article is that they must be in negotiations as we speak with Josh's team. This same article has been written time after time....insert BJ, Tito,Nate, etc). |

GSP24 - His history with dfw and failed tests is a HUGE concern. If he's wiling to promote Reem, then Barnett's failed test probably don't matter at all.

FadeToBlack -GSP24 - His history with dfw and failed tests is a HUGE concern. He has passed all his tests in SF and if he wins in a week and a half and passes his drug tests there should be no concern about bringing him in. I dont think the PED concern or his relationship with Dana is gonna play into it, its all a matter of money. Josh is gonna want alot. He made 150k flat I believe for his last fight, who knows if he got anything behind the scenes. Think about this, Cain got 100/100 for his fight, now he might have gotten something on the back end, maybe PPV points, who knows. But he was only guaranteed 100k in that fight. Thats gonna be the deciding issue, Josh is gonna want alot and I'm not sure the UFC is willing to give him that. Hope they do though. |

Ryann Von Doom - Bullshit.. Absolute bullshit. Dana needs to shut the fuck up and get josh into the ranks. A hw who's marketable and cuts promos better than anyone else in mma, yeah lets not bring him in. I think Josh is a great fighter and all, and I might be alone on this opinion, but I actually find his cuts and promos awful. They're obviously pro-wrestling inspired and that's cool, but they don't usually actually turn out very well in practice. So yeah I dunno, I'm not sure that's as big a factor as you might consider, at least not for everybody. If they're bringing him in it's for one obvious reason - HW is still the weakest division, as it always has been, and they are in great need for challengers who seem legitimate. |

Let's not forget he ruined the last affliction show and has popped 3 times. Proceed with caution. Still want him in the UFC. He should fight big country, werdum, Mir or big nog. Maybe even the duffmeister. |

i hope they bring him in, he might not be a title contender anymore but his fights are entertaining. So many great match-ups for him i dont even want to start, i just say Mir-Barnett. |

Barnett is a 3 time offender, doesn't get along with the boss, on the downside of his career.

DW is looking for any excuse to not hire him. Barnett is an elite HW, if the UFC is the home of the best fighters in the world, then they should do everything to get this man at least 2-3 fights. |

FadeToBlack -GSP24 - His history with dfw and failed tests is a HUGE concern. LOL at seriously thinking ZUFFA cares about some positive tests. Has really hurt how much promotion guys like Sonnen, Diaz and OVereem have gotten. Haaaaaa three of the most pushed and promoted guys in ZUFFA right now. If Dana says anything about Barnett's positive tests it's just a cop out because of his personal beef with Barnett. He's a top five alll time HW still near his prime, there is no reason ZUFFA shouldn't sign him and put him in some big fights |

Chris27 - Josh is gonna want alot. He made 150k flat I believe for his last fight, who knows if he got anything behind the scenes. This is the way most upper-tier Strikeforce contracts signed while SVE were the owners work. He would not have gotten a win bonus. And almost certainly, the only extra money he would have gotten would have been from his sponsors. I don't think he's gonna come back for 8k + 8k like Todd Duffee did, or 20k + 20k for that matter, nor would that be appropriate. I'd think 60k + 60k is probably a reasonable offer though considering: UFC contracts usually go up with wins, he'd get more sponsor money in the big leagues, and there are both "Of The Night" bonuses and discretionary ones we don't generally hear about. He also may or may not get a tiny slice of PPV money. |

Chris27 -FadeToBlack -GSP24 - His history with dfw and failed tests is a HUGE concern. It's pretty crazy that 150k is seen as a lot of money for a top 5 Heavyweight |
