Florida has 1) Durational Alimony - Accounts for the duration of the marraige. 2) Bridge The Gap Alimony - Eases transition from married to single life 3) Permanent - Basically leaves the spouse with the same standard of living in single life as married life 4) Rehabilitative - helps spise establish self support such as going to school. 5) Temporary - For duration of divorce proceedings 6) Lump Sum - can be used as support or to equalize assets. All of which can be stacked on top of one another, and most of which are bullshit. It is the worst state after California I think. The best state is alabama. |
