Funny how Liz was positive even through the interview, even when she admitted when asked that she felt the UFC was rooting against her, and that she was okay with it. The article link would be less misleading if it just read "Liz Carmouche is not blind." |

15-1 odds is a tough sell. If they could find her the right opponent the fight might sell better.

Every time she fought for showtime it was some kind of free weekend thing going on, I think that may have a little to do with the "good" ratings she was able to get on showtime. |

Hopefully the hype stays. Rhonda is great for the sport, and opens up an avenue for womans mma. It's only one division, but it's a start.

GaryColeman - Haha I knew this would happen. People want to see woman fight in the UFC as much as they want to see 125 pound men fight in the UFC. I tend to believe that more people have activily asked and campaigned for the women's 135 division than the men's 125 division. People must remember Gina Carano had national weekly exposure on Gladiators thats 4 to 8 million a week. Plus she thought on CBS. Ronda rousey mainevented coming off a challangers card that did 140 thousand. If u look at the ticket prices Carano's whole arena was like 700 thousand paid. Rousey's Monetary value to the UFC is so much more than ppv's and ticket sales. Cyborg has no fans, she has no draw. She has to feed off other people. |

Surely the UFC expects poor ticket/PPV sales for cards built around women. It's not like they don't have the examples of every other female sport showing them how much money they're likely to make. |

To be honest, I think everyone who knows RR feels it will be a short fight, under a minute. A trip, a single leg, and knee on belly to arm bar. To sell the PPV, she needs to drag it out to a couple rounds, but that would be dishonest physically and intellectually. Wut do?

The ticket sales will pick up...dirt cheap imo compared to vegas. 5ROUNDER BETWEEN hendo lyoto should be headliner but whatever still a solid card. |

They turned this card from a must buy to a must stream by making this the main event. One of the few cards I won't buy this year, although each year that number grows. |

Dana will make certain tickets get sold. Even if it has to be an inside deal with purchasing or even papering the place. No way he let's "first woman ever in UFC" NOT sell out. It is all bullshit. Dana will act like she sold the tickets and did Lesnar PPV numbers because that's the narrative he is going for. She isn't. She hasn't even captivated the public like Gina Carano did.

i wish her all the success in the world, just wish there were two titles on the line that weekend to take some of the pressure off of wmma since it's still emerging and gaining acceptance. Make it a "we are here and belong here with the men" instead of "we are ready to carry an event". |
