1) Hume is the Man 2) There havent been many other trainers that have had top guys from the old days (Barnett, Hallman) to the current era (Mighty Mouse), who else is there? 3) There shouldnt be anyone that disagrees that the 10 must for a 3 round MMA fight is just not compatible 4) Great point on Hume on a leg lock on whether, for example, guy is trying to break something or got a pressure point - the judges are attrocious, something else that no one can disagree with 5) I respect the interviewer for presenting his beliefs to Hume since Hume was part of the Pride org and that earlier in the interview, he still made it clear he was proud of it and how interviewer still put forth the notion of Pride as the "wild west" and Hume's top guy for years Barnett did get busted for roids twice (the 2nd time bringing down an organization) but he's on the $ imo about the paradox of legit TRT on the flip 6) While we're on the "wild west" tip as well, does a so-called journalist of one of the top MMA websites that's been around for a while really think that something happened to all the Pride fighters without taking their careers into perspective and how many still did well, people still hold on to this myth? 7) Matt Hume is the Man |

Who else is with Hume now? Is Barnett still there? There's Mighty Mouse, Boetsch....does Sakurai still train with him? Salaverry retired, Hallman is still fighting - is he still there or started his own gym? Does/did Maurice Smith/Frank/TK ever train with AMC? His Hume still associated with Lance Gibson? |

Good interview. I had never really seen many Hume interviews so I dont know the guy in that respect but I've been familiar with the guys that hes trained and certainly know who he is. That said he seems to be up there with John Danaher as far as dudes I'd love to just sit there and listen to while they talk for hours about MMA. |
