New to the boxing forum here, probably is a thread like this but, name your go to combo. The one you pull out when ur up against a new sparring partner and u know he's never seen something like it Mine is: Jab > cross to the body > pivot lead hook > cross Leaves a great opening to a dominate angle cross. Throw the jab cross pivot hook casually, set up one helluva cross to the chin

I find the parry their jab with my right hand while jabbing themselves fairly fun. Also the left jab, left hook and right is good. |

CheckinHose - I use that one all the time. Another one that I get a lot of mileage out of is the simple Straight right to the head > left hook to the body. |

My favorite, highest percentage attack: jab, slip outside to a right uppercut to the heart, left hook to the head. Add a little angle step to the slip against slicker boxers. Touching that heart always seems to open the head, and may even pull the chin up for the hook. |

Left jab, right cross, left hook to the body finish with a left hook upstairs Double jab, right hook to body, right uppercut I like those ones. If I throw successive lefts or rights the second one usually gets in

Do not worry about "pre-set" combos. Learn to throw all the punches, with both hands. Throw combos, but as dictated by the situation. Hit what you see open with the most appropriate weapon.

e. kaye -I agree. To a point. You throw certain punches to set up other punches. Say you throw a right hook to the body to bring the guard down and then you come back upstairs with a right hook. You have to work to create openings. Unless your opponent is useless their not just gonna be there

Creating openings is a different topic.

I'd say not to get hung up with any one combo. Throwing punches you think might land is never a good idea. Unless it's a jab every punch should be thrown with full intent on landing.

A jab is a punch. It should be thrown with full intent. Otherwise your opponent will not respect it. ANd if not, it is useless. |

Left jab. Left hook while side stepping to the left and immediate right cross. |

I like the jab>rear uppercut>lead hook>sometimes followed by a looping overhand right.

I agree with e. kaye, but I do have some favorite combos, that seem to work pretty well. jab, cross/overhand, left hook/uppercut to the body. Left hook to head, left hook to body. jab, cross, pivot/sidestep right, left hook to body, right hook to head. |
