Absolutely, like Atlas says he's really forgotten the jab and those replays showed just how effective they were. Usmanee making a really good fight out of this, don't mind the showmanship on the other end either as long as it doesn't get too crazy. |

Have to ask where Barthelemy's corner is here? Outside of the big shot you're right, no thought process really. Would LOVE a late KO here from Usmanee |

Cubans seem to have a hard time adjusting to the Pro styles...Only one I can think of that's been world class over the years is Casamayor...we'll see what happens with Gamboa and Rigondeaux. |

Anybody else wish Usmanee would hit that body a bit more? Would like to see him go a bit higher on the ribs with a couple counters, crazy how Barthelemy goes back to the boxing for just a minute then deviates after he had abit of control. Great beginning of the end of a hard fought fight so to speak. Love a good Rigondeaux fight (aggressive opponent creates great counters a defense for him), suspect chin though. |

No lies was going to say the same thing I would be in his locker room screaming don't you dare lose it one bit you WON that fight. To take it from him after all that 12th round effort.....speechless. I wish you luck in sleeping though man. Ouch. Boxing. Facepalm. |

Yuriorkis Gamboa (22-0, 16KOs) was ringside at the Magic City Casino in Miami, Fla. for the debut of the 15th season of ESPN's Friday Night Fights. Gamboa lives in Miami and was there to support his fellow countryman Rances Barthelemy, who fought in the main event. Gamboa returned after a 15-month layoff in Dec., outpointing Michael Farenas on the Manny Pacquiao-Juan Manuel Marquez 4 undercard. ESPN's Bernardo Osuna asked Gamboa about his future plans and the Cuban now campaigning at junior lightweight and fighting under the banner of 50 Cent's SMS Promotions reaffirmed his interest in a high-profile clash with WBC lightweight champion Adrien Broner (25-0, 21KOs). "The next thing is for me to defend the title I won in December, but we're looking for a name," said Gamboa. "[A potential Broner fight] doesn't just depend on me, I hope Adrien Broner will accept this fight as well." |

thanks for the link Darth, thats some good news I hope that fight gets made. Is Broner with Mayweather at all? Who promotes him? I'm a fan but really don't care for the singing, when the hair brushing starts and he gets to the first bell to the last, i'll take the end dance too. But not the 'no homo's' in victory speeches lol. That being said im with Broner, hope he doesn't have any daniel PDL trouble though, gamboa still a decent step up from the way DeMarco fought. Don't know what to say about that, bury my head in the chest of Broner and go piniata style performance. Wanted more from DeMarco |

Broner a fool for sure lol, but I can't deny his skills, he's a beast...inside toe to toe and on the outside..Gamboa doesn't have the D or chin to hang with Broner imo. Broner is a GBP guy, but is managed by Al Haymon. |

Good way to put it, thinking off the top of my head about Broner putting some pressure on Gamboa, especially when the head shaking and talking starts...yeah. |

a Doctor who hasn't physically checked out Manny, claims he feels Manny has early signs of Parkinsons...now Manny might take legal matters because of this lol.

Barry_BondsMVP - haha! Are we seeing another defemation of character case here? Only to end in victory for PAC MAN On a different note it wouldn't shock me though, I remember watching an Ali segment to which a doctor explained something along the lines of slowness initiating a movement while going through a progression of his fights throught the years. Mind you to bring up the same points on pacquiao, I would also have to bring up that according to WIKI, he began in his teens at 98lbs. Last weigh in fight night for Marquez 4 was 154lbs on HBO scale if I remember correct. Sparring partners have also dropped off for him IMO. Also remember Ali's MSNBC interview few years back.. interview http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3l6diJ2oZ4 Great Documentary on the the tougher side of boxing (alot may have seen this/may already be on thread). Goes through what can really happen to you on the negative side of boxing, and unseen factors of the ring. Name - 'After the Last Round' Documentary(note that there are 6 parts) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWoB1ewpyGw Disclaimer - The Moyer brothers (Phil/Denny) are always tough to watch for me in this, I wouldn't wish that upon anyone. |

lol yea the Doc said he saw his hands shaking during an interview or something. It was sad watching the Ali special on ESPN a few years back, he was taking meds for thyroid issues, and up to like 20 pills a day before the Holmes fight. His main Dr. didn't want him to fight because he looked like crap on the speed bag, but Ali ignored him, and the Dr. eventually left his camp. |

what I really want a video of....these Floyd Mayweather Jr claims that every time he and Ali run into eachother, they argue with constant sentences of "well i'm better than you because of this...". I'm no joker though, i'm a Pacquiao fan, but a bigger Mayweather fan and have him as my p4p 1 |

Barry_BondsMVP - haha I agree 100%, I get some mean second hand embarrassment from Broner's antics but he's undeniably a magnificent boxer, I like Gamboa as well but I think Broner is on another level, either way both guys are talented and I hope the fight happens because i'll be watching the shit outta it with a big ol' smile on my face. |
