Im sure these scumbags get whats comin to them in jail despite their ranks. No gi no rules plus suprises and no fair fights. "Hardened" criminal has distinct advantage over scared litle boy in jail who has martial arts training.

How about the outlash they can expect from fellow students. This young lady was also a student, and if its anything like ive seen or experienced the older guys in the school tend to look at younger females as little sisters. If that happendd around the gyms I know, there would probably be a few people out on a hunt.

ie: Dont post bail, dont be at your appartment.
