I've been watching a lot of Lloyd Irvin vids recently. I like them and am quite intrigued by Lloyd. It seems that he's a top level instructor that never had much success on the pro circuit? I ask, not say in this case. Did he ever really compete?

I also see that he's big on the business aspect of BJJ, which is fine by me. I wonder what are the overall thoughts on Lloyd? From what I can tell there's a schism in the BJJ community with older school types not liking Lloyd so much.
