Yep, reckon Randy gave him the secret of "attack when you feel like defending" or something. Ryan was throwing kicks and punches in a non-reckless way when a lot of fighters would turtle up, and it seemed to keep him in it mentally.

Also kept checking his footwork until he wasn't wobbly anymore, and adjusting based on that. Both great Randy Couture traits, awesome to see they got passed down to Ryan (either through genes or training). Will def be supporting Ryan in his next fights, great heart.
