I didn't get to see the fights. He was a heavy favorite, so I'm hoping he looked the part. Phone Post

Complete domination would be the only way to desscribe that fight.

Cormier just beat the shit out of Staring on the ground, it was totally one sided. Roughed him up on the feet in the first round with some nice combos too.

There was a point in the fight where Cormier could have easily grabbed Dion's arm and armbarred him but he seemed content to just keep punching him in the face. I don't know if this means he still isn't comfortable with the sub game or if he just likes Ground and Pound.

But yes, Cormier looked exactly how everyone thought he would look. He definitely deserved to be the 20 to 1 favourite, lol.

He was obviously in second gear the whole fight. It honestly looked like nothing more than an average sparring session for him.

He looked good. Sometimes a guy who is fluky or has funky rhythm can throw you off a little, but DC still took care of business.

I agree that he looked like he was in second gear, but that was still enough for a totally dominant performance. He could probably have forced a stop sooner if he was a bit more active, but he played it safe. Which is understandable when you consider the big money contract negotiations in his immediate future.
