Honestly I had the fight scored 29-28 for Noons BUT even if Ryan had lost, his performance still showed a lot of heart and growth! He had his first ammy mma fights in TUFF-N-UFF and he has grown so much since then. He also proved he can weather a storm, get hurt and come back dangerous. I would really like to see Ryan in the UFC. I hope they start him out slow though and don't feed him to the fishes. He should be very proud of his performance. He took a GIANT step up in competition and showed everyone that he belongs on that level. |

I thought Noons won but Couture is a whole lot better/tougher than I realized.

Couture has come a long ways since the TUF n UFF shows. Nice to see someone work hard and improve the way he has |

I sure didn't think Ryan would be able to stand with Noons and be competitive, so that was pretty impressive. I am also not sure on the decision, I wasn't watching with my judging eyes on, but I was surprised when Couture's hand was raised. But Couture is sort of becoming known for gift decisions, I think he definitely got one at the Portland show. |

bradu - Those kicks Ryan through (several times) surprised me! I always expect to see a smaller Randy out there wrestling and dirty boxing but that is far from the case. Being as green as he is and standing with KJ the entire fight (and holding his own for the most part and surviving when he was hurt) is an accomplishment and he should get credit for that. |
