I am not fighting just back in the Kickboxing training side.

I am gonna be 43 next month. Do I want to fight? Yes, I need to maintain the same code of conduct with my students & team. I have to many responsibilities to manage & at this age I can not dedicate myself to the vigors of training to win on the highest level of the sport. I am not a do as I say & not as i do type of guy. When you you choose to be a fighter it is a life commitment & mindset. A Spartan! My guys believe in me because they see how I am & my commitment to the fight game.

I am happy to spar with my students & fit in a Jiu Jitsu Tournament in when my schedule allows it. I am not interested in fighting low level events either. Glory is the best!

Fighting for me is about my past not my future. I am blessed to have such great students with #ChampionMindset Attitudes. I still have so much to teach & accomplish in our academy & the arena as a coach.

I also need to spend more time with wife & daughter. Accomplishing goals is great but Family is everything!

Interesting.

Assuming this may present a unique challenge for the ones that do in changing mind sets depending on what they are training for next. This used to happen to me between judo and wrestling.

Any news on which guys will be training/competing in both?

Great question!

I have split my time up in between MMA Kickboxing & Kickboxing.

Not a problem for me, when I was fighting K1 it was a different & pace than Muay Thai that most of my students were fighting. I have also trained Boxers while I trained K1 & Muay Thai.

I dedicated the 7 years to mastering MMA Kickboxing.

Still gonna be involved heavily in MMA but Kickboxing is my 1st love. I saw Benny "The Jet" fight when I was 5 in Milwaukee. Its been in my blood for years.
