We met Big John then ran into him at Denny's again on the way home and he remembered us. It was awesome. Also met Shane Del Rosario, War Machine, Tyron Woodley and Jimmy Smith. And we saw this guy we thought was Anderson Silva at first.. It was Cheick Kongo lol! To top it all off we witnessed an epic embrace between Frank Shamrock and Tito Ortiz!

Today's quick tip- 3 simple (yet strikingly difficult) ways to regulate ur metabolism!!
I learned this tip from my specialist while rehabbing my esophagus after severe acid reflux (alcohol related) ate part of it (not good and EXTREMELY painful). I'll save that story another day though.. Here we go!
Step one.
Nothing. I repeat NOTHING, but water 3 hours before bed. This is the difficult part I was talking about and will require a bit of training and discipline. A lot of us like a snack before bed. Some of us even "need" it. But honestly u don't. And after a couple nights of suffering through it you'll be fine without it. Having the time period with only water helps flush what u ate throughout the day through ur system and rapidly increases the digestion process. This will be the hardest part as I've said several times but it really isn't once u get one a schedule with it.
Step 2.
Morning water. 12-16 ounces of cold water first thing in the morning. This small amount of water will help flush anything left in the stomach after sleep, rehydrate ur vital organs, as well as giving ur metabolism a major kick start.
Step 3.
Eat something within an hour of waking up. This compliments the previous step and gets the process really rolling for the day. Doesn't have to be a full meal. Just something. A granola bar, a piece of fruit, one egg, some toast. Anything like that is perfect.
So that's it. Follow those steps and I promise u will see change in the way ur metabolism works. It's worked wonders for me. Good luck everyone and hail the All Health Army!

Quick check in... Started at 175.4 on the 14th...weighed in today at 171. 4.4 pounds dropped so far in 4 days... Mostly attributed from simple changes in my diet and eating habits. More water intake, better portion control and eating more often (which is actually the hardest thing for me as I'm used to 1 or 2 larger meals later in the day/night where as now I'm trying/forcing to get in 4-5 throughout the entire day), cut out the extra snacks/sugars/sodas/etc. Nothing but water before sleep. Basically, if my body doesn't need it I'm not going to feed it! My first goal was 172 by February 1st so I'm ahead of schedule (as I had hoped) but my overall goal isn't to just drop, but maintain. I've always been able to drop pretty easily as long as I'm doing the right things, but I gain it back even quicker when doing the wrong things. Just need to keep my goals in mind and keep moving forward. NO LOOKING BACK FATTIES...UNLESS IT'S IN A MIRROR FOR MOTIVATION! ALL HEALTH! |
