Jason Reinhardt - Rule, I am hoping a happy ending comes out of all this and let's not forget the family and people were were frightened beyond belief. I know what kind of person Lee is, and it wouldn't surprise me if he oneday does something for them to make up in some kind of way for bad decisions. Keep in mind though...he is allegedly involved in the heist. Has it been proven? That's just not something i bring up to Lee.

You have a great perspective and I believe your support for a moral resolution to an unspeakably sad story is the mark of a real friend. Did you ask him a test question to confirm identity? If so, please keep us informed!

Backfire threads bring out the petty little voyeur in me, this is fascinating stuff, really.

I understand both sides of the fence here. Personal morality is an interesting beast... but the whole hostage story is beyond fucked up if all of it is true. Sounds like an absolute dealbreaker.

Lol at all you guys being so judgemental and so quick to have your pitchforks out.

The facts are gray, but Lee is alleged to be PART of the crew that did the heist.

Now it was reported that the bank managers wife and her infant child were "escorted" to a van b/c she was tricked she was being with cops, but once inside the van, then they informed her they weren't cops.

Tell me, WITHOUT GOOGLING, what are the names of the other people arrested and tried?

Since nobody knows any names besides Lee Murray, people just assume the worst part of the crime was done by him. They don't even know the specifics of it all.

Jason Reinhardt - I just feel bad for his children not being with their daddy. Knowing Lee, i'm sure that's tearing him up inside. That's punishment in and of itself.

Feel sorry for the innocent victims he traumatized... I feel happy knowing that his kids will grow up knowing what a fucking idiot he was and hope they don't follow in his stupid footsteps.

Well excuse the hell out of me then. Sorry for even bringing my old friends name up. Just felt some would like to hear about what he had to say. That's all. Some of you act like i was with him and did the stupid bank heist. If he did do that, then i sure don't agree or condone it. Never have. Never will. What have i done so wrong except spend time with Lee Murray and trained with the man at Miletich's back in the day. I'm sure not going to say f...off to an old friend who was good to me. I don't operate like that.

I posted this on the Marcus Avellans latest rant thread, but it's relevant here also:

Me and my best friend growing up did all sorts of bad shit. Stealing, doing and selling drugs, fighting, smashing up stores and stuff like that.

Then we kind of went separate ways but always stayed in touch and I still considered him a close friend. When we were about 20 I heard about him getting in with a gang that sold drugs to young school kids. Then I heard about a terrible home invasion he was part of where a mother and her child were terrorized while the father was made to open his safe and give them his money, etc.

As soon as I found out about that I called him and said I could not be his friend anymore and he should not call me or expect me to be there if he needs me. He had crossed a line.

Loyalty is one of the most important traits a person can have. But, you have to be able to draw a line and say "this is where my loyalty stops". We judge people by their actions but you can also judge a person by where they draw that line.

Jason and Marcus have very publicly shown that the line for them is on the other side of gang rape and on the other side of terrorizing and taking women and children hostage. They're rightfully being judged for it here.

Jason, you choose where the line is drawn, not some misguided notion of "loyalty". You cheapen the word.

I know one way Lee could make it up to those kids when he gets out.

Surprise them with a kidnap breakfast at Cracker Barrel on a Saturday.

Boy howdy will they be shocked to see him again and soon they'll have a laugh as the only thing stolen this time will be a sideways glance at the table while enjoying hashbrown casserole. Phone Post

Wow a lot of mixed responses in this thread.

I would advise just staying away from anymore discussion of Lee Murray on here. You may have had a good friendship with the guy but whoever he is today is a different person than who he was during your Militech days. But I for one appreciate the update you tried to provide us with. You seem like a great guy and I'd hate to see you be the victim of verbal attacks from some of the more outspoken and immature members of the forum.

Also just to clairify from some if the responses ive read, Lee's children are just as much of a victim as the people directly affect by the heist itself. Im sure these children had no control of their father being a part of such a horrible act. Now these kids grow up fatherless. Lets hope that everyone involved and affected are able to heal from the experience. Phone Post

Wait, kids plural?

I thought it was one small child?

Serious question, how old was the child? B/c if he/she was an infant, you guys sure are hanging your pitchfork witchunt on how the "victim" was traumatized.

Let me guess, you or no one will be able to provide that information. You will not know the facts, so you will assume them and assume the worst, and assume the guilty partys.

When your father is a criminal sometimes growing up fatherless is better.

The thing that hurts is probably learning who your father really is.

Ok, for all of you who accuse Lee Murray of taking the mother and child hostage, just so you know Lee Murray isn't even being charged with that aspect of the crime. It's alleged however, that the husband, the bank manager, was taken hostage by Murray.

At 8:40 p.m. on Feb. 21, 2006, two men dressed as Kent police knocked on the door at Dixon's home in Herne Bay. When Dixons wife, Lynn, answered, the men told her that her 52-year-old husband had been in an accident; she and her son, Craig, needed to come with them. In fact, two other conspirators, who police allege were Rusha and Murray, had kidnapped Dixon as he drove home from work. They reunited their hostages at a farm in the English countryside shortly before 10 p.m.

How many people were physically hurt during this ordeal?

How many hospital visits?

Zero?   Man, that Lee Murray sure is a harmful guy.
